This project aimed to explore the interconnectedness of nature and human beings through the lens of the Baltic coastal landscape in Ustka. Involving a contemplation of the biological and physical processes at play in the landscape, from the germination of spring to the erosion of driftwood. Through a series of playful ceramic experiments, I aimed to capture and archive the forms and behaviors specific to the landscape, embracing a philosophy of abandoning control and allowing for an ongoing progression of exploratory making. The two month-long residency culminated in a solo exhibition in the gallery space and an artist talk / presentation open to the public.

The research began during the residency is ongoing, I have brought forward the ‘archived’ forms and am continually developing them, merging them with new forms and experiences, thus creating new hybrid landscapes in sculptural form.
